Ethan Paisley is an American actor, filmmaker, YouTube personality, and entrepreneur.
Paisley became a theatre veteran by age 12 with over 25 plays and musicals on his resume. His range scored him a deal with the prestigious MDT Talent Agency, leading to roles in acclaimed independent films "Red Ribbon" (2011), "Unspoken" (2015), and "Veronica" (2017) which recently premiered at the renowned New York Film Festival.
His early on-camera work inspired a YouTube channel titled "ethanpaisley" that experienced viral success in 2013. The channel grossed over half-a-million views in less than a year, allowing Paisley to recognize his passion for filmmaking. As a high school freshman, the young artist successfully wrote, directed, and produced an 80-minute feature film "The Art of Escape" (2015). The film screened in 10 film festivals worldwide, including the Singapore International Film Festival where Paisley won distribution with Intellect Pictures [UK].
In 2016, he started Take18 Entertainment, a production company with the mission of using commercial work to yield funds for narrative content. Within 8 months as a business, Take18 produced seven award-winning short films, a commercial for the SpikeTV Network, and a second feature film, "Point 453" (2017). "Point 453" premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017 and acquired distribution with Adler & Associates Entertainment [US].
His success caught the attention of James Franco and Elysium Bandini Studios, who hired him as a producer on "The Art of Love" (2017).
Most recently, Paisley directed and produced "Playing the Game" (2016) and "Indelible" (2017) which stars Jackie Dallas from "Stranger Things." Indelible played at the Mill Valley Film Festival and won Paisley the title 'Best Young Filmmaker' at the prestigious LA Film Awards.
"Playing the Game" was discovered by acclaimed director Indrani in 2017 who proposed a feature-length version. The feature was optioned by Sleeperwave Films: the production company behind "Supremacy" starring Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali. Paisley will be announcing the project at the Sundance Film Festival 2018.
