Rudy Bouma
Rudy Bouma is a senior reporter for the Dutch current affairs program
'Nieuwsuur' (Newshour) which is broadcasts daily at public channel 2 in
the Netherlands.He has been working for several TV-programs since 1994.
Bouma covered numerous main news stories. In 2014 he reported on the
crises in East-Ukraine which led to the crash of flight MH17 which
killed all 298 passengers. Also, Bouma covered the the death of Nelson
Mandela in 2013 , the civil unrest before the 2014 soccer World Cup in
Brazil, human rights violations during the preparations of the 2014
Winter Olympics in Sochi and the massacre by Anders Breivik on Utoya,
Norway in 2012. In 2012 Bouma also travelled unembedded trough
Afghanistan twice. During his career he interviewed icons like
archbishop Desmond Tutu and U2-singer Bono.
