Stephanie Belot Habib Ring (Niny Ring) is the founder of Araruna Filmes, a film production company focused in the creation of content about culture, education, sustainability and human development. She founded the enterprise in 2012 after having worked in big film production companies from Brazil and USA, such as Warner Bros, Bossa Nova Films and Delicatessen Filmes.
She graduated in Dramatic Arts and International Business, and has Associate's Degrees in Cinema and an in Economics. Those areas gave her the tools to become a film director and producer, as well as a social business entrepreneur.
Stephanie considers herself a social business entrepreneur because Araruna Filmes's core mission is to solve social, environmental and economical problems by means of the 7th art. How, one may ask. By giving emphasis to these problems - supporting film productions (financially or intellectually) and also by helping to enhance the impact of social/environmental initiatives by subsiding film productions (when necessary). Besides that Araruna also produces films that talk about global problems and/or it's solutions. For example, Araruna has just released a film that talks about corruption in Brazil and this year the film production company will be releasing a sitcom about recycling and a documentary about the evolution of education in the world.
Stephanie speaks fluently French, Portuguese and English, she can also keep conversations in Spanish and Italian, and speaks very little Chinese - Mandarin.
