Sofia Pellegrino was born in Lima, Peru and moved to the United States at the age of ten. She's the second oldest of six sisters and grew up in Northern Virginia. From her Father's side of the family, she is of Italian descent and she is also of indigenous ancestry. She graduated from George Mason University with a major in accounting and graduated from the two-year acting program from The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Washington, DC. She has landed roles in PBS Kids, Investigation Discovery, TLC and TVone among other tv networks. Sofia made her debut as a writer and director in 2018 with the film "The Last Cry" which has received nationwide recognition and has won several awards in film festivals through out the United States. Sofia has won Best Director at The New Jersey's Brightside Film Festival and at Los Angeles's Independent Short Awards. Sofia has also won Best Actress in Italy's Best Actor Award competition.
