Leah Callahan(II)
- Actor
In the mid-to-late '90s Leah Callahan fronted the art-rock bands Turkish Delight and Betwixt, recording several studio albums. In the 2000s she starred in Lorelei Pepi's "Happy and Gay" and released a world music-influenced solo album entitled "Even Sleepers". Callahan then moved on to found The Illegitimate Theater Company - writing, producing, directing and starring in off-kilter musical productions of Gore Vidal's "Myra Breckinridge" and Jean Genet's "The Maids". Her autobiographical 2003 rock opera "The Glass Set" was an amalgamation of her interests in both music and theater, developed and recorded with producer Richard Marr of Galaxy Park Studios. "The Glass Set" concept album eventually morphed into a band, which performed live, wrote several songs and culminated in two final studio albums for Callahan: "First Image" and "Something Unknown".
