Roney is an emerging director, writer, and actor. She is an alumnus of the Television Program (RTA) at Ryerson and the Cineplex Director's Lab at the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto. She is known for her semi-autobiographical web series, Cheap Whine (2016), and surrealist short film, Glitter's Wild Women (2018) -- which had a world premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.
