Janét Aizenstros is a Canadian media proprietor, author, talk show host, speaker, model, producer and globally recognized emotional intelligence advocate.

She is a frequent sought-out celebrity/lifestyle correspondent to HuffPost Live and parenting expert for Canada's longest national morning show CTV Canada AM. She has been featured on numerous media outlets internationally and interviewed some of the world's most recognized celebrities, authors and thought leaders such as Stephanie Andujar, Rebecca Musser, Elizabeth Gilbert, Keke Palmer and more.

Born to Caribbean immigrants, this Aruban-Vincentian beauty has been featured in numerous women empowerment magazines and modeled for Canada's top luxury retailer--Holt Renfrew.

Growing up in a home where she was exposed to a wide array of music genres, Janét's passion for music spawned her eloquence for words and writing. At age 14, she began vocal training until the age of 19 to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a singer. Meanwhile, she never pursued her music career professionally, it didn't negate her passion for writing. At age 17, Janét wrote her first autobiographical poetry book, My Heart Open As The Sky which was eventually published globally in 2014.



Bestselling Author & Historymaker

From 2012 to 2013, Janét authored seven books in genres ranging from children to self-awareness. Her writings have appeared in numerous anthologies globally whilst her poetry has been recognized by the International Library of Poetry. Her children's book series Why Mommy Loves can be found globally on all major book retailers. Due to the success of this series, Janét has been inducted in the Guelph Public Library archives as a Famous Guelphite along-side world renowned children's authors Robert Munsch and Jean Little.

From March 3rd-8th 2015, Janét's company LOVE + Lifestyle Publishing Group hosted International Women's Week at Indigo - Canada's largest book retailer's flagship Bay/Bloor location. This event is the first women's event in Indigo's history, making Janét the first woman and Afro-Canadian woman to do so to date. The event theme for International Women's Day 2015 was #MakeItHappen which consisted of featuring authors published by her company sharing their stories of how they made it happen to live a life of passion and purpose.

Her passion for words lives on in her ever-growing book catalog as well as being a writer for Huffington Post and Byblacks.com, Canada's top Afro-Canadian news site.



Brand + Influence

In 2013, for Vaughan Small Business Week, Janét modeled for Canada's top luxury retailer--Holt Renfrew wearing top-tier designers for the show.

Janét's social media influence caused her modeling and writing to collide when she became recognized by Dove Canada for her emotionally transparent article Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Do I Trust What I See? This article gives voice to the how women are portrayed in the media from the Afro-Canadian perspective. Since being acknowledgment from Dove Canada in 2014, Janét was given another opportunity to be featured in the Dove USA 2015 Advanced Hair campaign #LoveYourCurls for her story Phenomenally Curly.

Janét has been selected as one of the Top 10 Inspiring Women in Canada for 2014 by 29secrets.com. In 2012, Listorious ranked Janét 5th on it's Top 50 Women in Social Media amongst Martha Stewart and Arianna Huffington.

She has been nominated for many awards including the 2013 - 2014 Shorty Awards which features the best entrepreneurs & celebrities in social media. In addition, Janét has been nominated by her hometown of Guelph for the prestigious YMCA-YWCA Woman of Distinction Award consecutively in 2013 and 2014.

Presently, Janét is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Janét Aizenstros Media Group, an online media conglomerate dedicated to providing women with the necessary branding tools in business. Her previous corporate background working for TD Canada Trust and Canon has allotted her the skills to create a company that offers services for the start-up, progressive and the established entrepreneur. JAOM offers services in publishing, branding and broadcasting from rising to established thought leaders and renowned brands.

LOVE + Lifestyle Publishing Group, JAMG's publishing subsidiary, is Canada's first publishing house owned by an Afro-Canadian Jewish woman working with the top mainstream retailers & distributors globally. Women's Movement Radio Network and Women's Movement Television Network, has given Janét the opportunity to host and produce celebrity interviews such as Stephanie Andujar from Orange Is The New Black, world-renowned thought leader Christie Marie Sheldon and Canada's innovative pastor Bruxy Cavey.

All interviews focus on elevating the emotional and social dialogue through her hosted and produced segments What Do You Believe?, 21 Answers To Emotional Freedom, Women On The Rise, Men Who Inspire and Janét's Book Circle.

Women's Movement Radio Network covered high-profiled stories such as the celebrity-supported child trafficking case of Sara Kruzan. Through the support of many celebrities, media professionals and the grass-root advocates of Sarah's campaign, on October 31, 2013 Sara Kruzan was paroled from California State Penitentiary. Sarah and Janét have been in touch.

Through Women's Movement Television Network multi-series she has covered the U.S. history-making story, The Witness Wore Red by Rebecca Musser - the 19th wife who brought polygamous cult leaders to justice. Rebecca Musser has since gone on to be featured on NBC's Dateline sharing her story of spiritual abuse with the world. Janét is an advocate for Rebecca's Claim Red campaign.



Thought Leadership & Advocacy

Once an aspiring pastor who began her journey to find the truth about the origins of existence. Now, this GEN Y thought leader devotes endless hours of keeping abreast of emotional & spiritual concepts. She believes becoming emotionally intelligent has aided her in learning to live with her life-long battle with depression. Since building this awareness she frequently speaks to millennials' to the evolving generations on her researched insights.

She created the What Do You Believe series on Women's Movement Television Network to give voice to the generation of people who no longer believe in a concept of g-d or are questioning what they believe in general. In this series, the featured highlights are Canada's most influential pastor Bruxy Cavey, author of the book The End Of Religion and world renowned scholar Kenneth Humphreys of the movement Jesus Never Existed.



Transformational Self-Love Speaker & Teacher

On March 4th, 2013 for International Women's Day, Janét keynote spoke along-side internationally renowned speaker Lisa Nichols (known for her role in the movie The Secret) for Global Women's Inspiration Virtual Conference. Janét's emotionally intelligent presentation, I Am Married To Me was deemed an "intellectual masterpiece" on self-love by ABC-TV Emmy nominated journalist Michelle Madrid-Branch.

Currently, Janét along with 21 Answers To Emotional Freedom money expert Vangile Makwakwa are planning BARE Retreats - an exclusive workshop teaching women emotional freedom in money & relationships.



Emotional Intelligence & Media Expert

Janét serves as chairwoman of her founded movement National Bare Day - a national campaign dedicated to teaching women how to become more aware of how the media influences their social & emotional intelligence.

On October 24th, 2012, National Bare Day launched it's first campaign via social media which went viral engaging over 1200 people on Facebook and Twitter. For National Bare Day campaign 2013, Janét created and hosted a live event called Bold. Bare. Powerful - Emotional Intelligent Conversations for Women. This live event featured 15 panelists which including influential women such as Mabel's Labels founder Julie Cole and Global TV finance contributor Shannon Lee Simmons from The School of Finance.

Janét is a media expert through SheSource - an online braintrust for female media experts founded by Gloria Steinem. Here Janét offers support by lending her expertise through: media advocacy and contributing to media initiatives to empower women and girls.

In October 2014, she was selected by the women's African-American collective at the University of Delaware for a documentary called Perceptions of Black Women In Media.

At present, Janét is working on her first co-produced film called Bold. Bare. Powerful -- a film on emotional intelligence to be released through Ahava Films in late 2015. She serves as Media Liaison for the Inspiration Guelph event for the Guelph Children's Foundation. Janét is the mom of Langston and Aaron Aizenstros - Canada's youngest Afro-Canadian authors.
