Brien Spina
Brien Spina was born and raised in Wakefield, MA, right outside of
Boston. After earning his BS at Endicott College, Brien moved to
Florida to be closer to family, and begin his own fishing fleet, USCG
licensed the title, Captain Brien. Brien opened Capt Brien's Seafood
and Roast Beef in 2001, in Marco Island, before relocating to a larger
venue on the island, and changing the name to Capt Brien's Seafood and
Raw Bar. He decided to add entertainment to the restaurant, creating
Off The Hook Comedy Club, which attracts nationally touring comedians
such as Drew Carey, John Pinette and Kevin Hart. Off The Hook Comedy
Club will soon be relocating to Brien's newest venture, SWFL Performing
Arts Center, a state-of-the art, world-class performing arts facility
in Bonita. Being able to work on a daily basis with both of his parents
is dear to his heart. Brien and his father, Santo, founded the
Southwest Florida Performing Arts and Cultural Learning Center, a
501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, which supports community learning
through laughter, drama, music, and the visual arts in Lee and Collier
Counties.
