Kerry Browne is an actress and writer born and raised in Paisley (Pàislig), Scotland from a working class family. She is of Irish and Scottish ancestry and is the only one in her family to pursue a career in acting, developing a love for the arts from a young age. She began her career in theatre; performing at Glasgow's West End Festival, before branching into film.
Kerry currently resides in Scotland, UK and is working on various writing projects; her most recent film is based on her award-winning screenplay Song of the Selkie (2024) which is currently in post-production and where Kerry makes her directorial debut. The script was an official nominee at The British Short Film Awards for Best Screenplay and was a finalist in Raindance Script Contest 2023. It is currently listed in the top 1% of all short projects on Coverfly and is ranked No. 5 in their "Top Rated Fantasy Short Screenplays of All Time".
She founded her own production company, Seal Woman Productions in 2023.
