Glenn Keogh, 'Scorpion' Actor, Dishes On New Show & 'Sons Of Anarchy's Series Finale [Exclusive]

Glenn Keogh, an Irish actor who has landed roles on some of the biggest shows in television in the last couple of years, now appears on CBS’s promising new drama Scorpion.

Glenn Keogh On 'Scorpion'

In Scorpion, Keogh plays the father of central character Walter O’Brien, a bona fide genius that assembles a team to help the government fight global terrorist organizations. As Keogh explained exclusively to uInterview, “[Scorpion] is based on the true story about a gentleman called Walter O'Brien - who is an Irish guy, a genius - and he is hired by the U.S. government as one part of a crack team.”

Keogh added, "He's got a group of guys who are all geniuses also, and it just follows his journeys on a week-to-week basis. They've solved problems that the existing administration could not."

Keogh went on to reveal that his character appears in the pilot,

Scorpion Recap: “Pilot” – Everybody Is a Genius

If CBS' shows The Big Bang Theory and Hawaii Five-0 had a baby, and that baby popped Adderall and was fueled by premium octane, it would be named Scorpion. The new fall action-drama centers on a foursome of geniuses (and one down-to-Earth waitress) who are recruited by Homeland Security to help defend against modern-day threats. Sounds great in theory, but the over-reliance on geek speak and the "Let's talk so fast that no one will notice how dumb this is" tactic quickly wear thin and make this possible prodigy fall far short of its potential. Hit the jump for my Scorpion recap. The multi-cultural cast features Elyes Gabel as Walter O'Brien, a genius with an Iq of 197, smoldering looks, and a rocky past with Federal Agent Cabe Gallo (Robert Patrick). We're introduced to a younger version of Walter, who has recently hacked into Nasa in order to download the shuttle's

Interview: 'Scorpion' star Katharine McPhee on stunts, fictional motherhood and her 'Smash' Tony loss
Going back to my failure to get on-board with the Soul Patrol, I'm accustomed to supporting Katharine McPhee in ill-fated circumstances. It's no wonder, then, that we're simpatico when it comes to Karen Cartwright losing the Tony to Ivy Lynn. "That's a great question," McPhee says when I inquire about her disappointment regarding this fictional theater award. "I wanted Karen to win!" "[M]y heart kind of like broke for her," McPhee admits. "I'm like, 'Really? She ends up with this loser guy who goes to jail and she can't even win the Tony?' And she has to have this nasty catfight with a girl who she could have potentially had a great relationship with? And she can't win the Tony. At least she got to play Marilyn for a little bit." McPhee's two-year run on "Smash" taught her many lessons, which we discussed in July when we sat down

Katharine McPhee and Robert Patrick chase cyberbullies in CBS' 'Scorpion' trailer
To fill the void left by the departure of "Numbers" a few years ago, CBS is back with another drama about eccentric geniuses helping the government solve crimes -- except "Scorpion" is inspired by a true story.  Walter O'Brien ("Game of Thrones's" Elyes Gabel) leads a think tank of young braniacs trying to make the world a better place. But when Lax's mainframe is mysteriously hacked and 56 airborne flights are in danger of crashing like in "Die Hard II: Die Harder," O'Brien and his crew are recruited by a no-nonsense Homeland Security agent ("Die Hard II: Die Harder's" Robert Patrick) to help. They set up shop in a diner, where a waitress (Katharine McPhee) and her secret genius son also pitch in.  Watch the trailer here: "Scorpion" also stars Eddie Kaye Thomas ("American Pie"), Ari Stidham and Jadyn Wong. And it looks like Ernie Hudson ("Ghostbusters," "The Crow") gets some screen time as well,
