Megan Magee is an actress, director, and writer in NYC. After moving to New York City at the age of 18, she graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan and started out in New York's musical theatre scene, performing at famed venues such as The Triad and The Duplex, and touring with The Vital Theatre Company. Megan was then accepted into the Two-Year Conservatory Program at William Esper Studio, where she trained in Meisner Technique, as well as Movement and Voice & Speech. In 2015, she made her Off-Broadway debut at Cherry Lane Theatre, playing the role of Hillary in the comedy Women Are Crazy Because Men Are A**holes.
Eventually, Megan became a regular performer with The Ophelia Theatre Group in Astoria, Queens, a production company specializing in producing "Classics with a Twist". She was both an actor and a writer for the company, performing in numerous productions, including "Your Alice" by Billie Aken-Tyers, in which Megan originated the role of Tweedle Dum. This production was so successful, it garnered an Off-Broadway run at BAM, followed by a three-week run at Edinburgh Fringe in 2018. Additionally, she became active performer and director for Theatre 68, a Manhattan based theatre company under the direction of Ronnie Marmo.
Soon before the COVID-19 pandemic, Megan began writing and producing independent short films while working as an actress and writer. In 2020, she wrote and produced several short films, including South Film and Arts Academy Festival's "Best Mircoshort" winner and Indie Shorts Festival Finalist, "Hope", Astoria Film Festival Official Selection "The White Place", and "Hazel's Garden", which is streaming on IFT Network TV.
In June of 2020, Megan became a series regular on the sketch comedy show "The Egos" on Amazon Prime. In 2021, Megan began working with 624 Productions, where she frequently works as an actress and 1st AD.
