Susan has spent more than 25 years in the entertainment business as a marketing, communications and branding strategist; event producer; project manager; writer; and connector. She has travelled extensively; secured billions of media impressions; produced and branded events ranging in attendance from several hundred to several thousand; created and executed campaigns for musicians, actors, directors, corporate entertainment companies, and non-profit organizations; orchestrated Grammy and Oscar campaigns; and worked on projects in Haiti, Africa, Europe, and across the U.S. Susan's years of expertise are infused with the life-changing experiences she has had in different cultures while travelling off the beaten path.

Susan's consulting business, BlueZan Consulting, creates marketing, branding, and communications strategies, campaigns, and events. BlueZan focuses primarily on socially responsible, cause-driven projects. Susan is also a published freelance writer and available for PR and marketing writing. She has a book publishing deal with The Round House Press.

Susan co-founded and for the past three years ran Thought Bubble Concepts, a marketing agency that created and produced experiential campaigns, events, and digital content. TBC's portfolio included multi-media, live entertainment campaigns, award shows, concerts, VIP fundraisers, and stunts that helped build a positive, sustainable impression for clients.

For two consecutive years, TBC produced and branded a week-long 5-borough series of concerts to raise awareness for New York City Health & Hospitals Corp., which runs the New York's public hospitals. Highlights included a Mayoral Press Conference and star-studded tribute to the 'Godfather of Funk' George Clinton at the Apollo Theater with musical director Ray Chew (American Idol) and featuring Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrel, Sheila E., Paul Schaffer, Questlove, Nona Hendryx, and more.

Thought Bubble Concepts conceived, marketed, and produced Os Kuduristas to introduce Angolan Kuduro music, dance, fashion, and lifestyle to Western audiences. The campaign included live stunts, branded digital content, and experiential pop-up events in Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, NYC, Washington, DC, and Luanda, as well as a peer-to-peer cross-cultural music exchange program between high school students in Brooklyn, Queens, and Luanda. For this year-long project, Susan spent five weeks in Angola and six weeks working in Europe.

When President Obama was elected in 2008, Susan produced Obama: THAT WON! A major "unofficial" pre-inauguration extravaganza and "Change Awards" Gala at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. that featured performances and presentations by honored guests including Omar Edwards (Bring in da Noise, Bring in da Funk), Hill Harper (CSI), Celebrity DJ Beverly Bond (Black Girls Rock), and Wendell Pierce (The Wire).

Susan co-founded, and for seven years managed, Kahn & Jacobs, one of the top entertainment marketing and public relations agencies in New York, and was named one of The Hollywood Reporter's 26 "Power Players" of the New York film industry and featured in several articles in PR Week Magazine.

Susan served as Vice President, Worldwide Publicity for RCA Victor Group, a division of BMG, where she spearheaded international campaigns for musicians including Grammy Award-winners The Chieftains, Cesaria Evora, Etta James, Ziggy Marley, and at Sony Classical, where she created campaigns for Yo-Yo Ma, Charlotte Church, The Three Tenors, Joshua Bell, and Joe Jackson.

On the film side, Susan created and implemented marketing strategies for numerous feature films and documentaries including Oscar-winning Sling Blade, Oscar-winners Kiss of the Spider Woman and The Trip to Bountiful, Dirty Dancing, Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It, Jim Jarmusch's Down by Law, Alex Cox's Sid and Nancy, David Byrne's True Stories, Peter Weir's The Mosquito Coast, Paris is Burning, One False Move, and Brother's Keeper.

Susan organized and secured major placements for high-profile events including PAPA World Pinball Championships (over a billion impressions worldwide); IFP Gotham Awards; New York Film Critics Circle Awards; Human Rights Watch Film Festival; Urbanworld Film Festival; Hamptons Film Festival; and more.
