- Katherine Diane Schimmel is an American researcher, writer, and musician. Her projects may be divided into two areas: those that relate to sound and music, and those that relate to science as applied to the study of the visual arts. In 2013, Schimmel founded Progetto Galileo/Project Galileo in an effort to bridge these seemingly diverse areas and to encourage an inter-disciplinary dialogue between scientists, artists, musicians, researchers, and others interested in exploring the intersection of these worlds along with their impact on human life.
Schimmel holds her undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music and her graduate degree from Harvard University. She has been affiliated with remote recording studio, Le Mobile, since 2011 and the literary journal, Wild River Review, since 2007.- IMDb Mini Biography By: KDS
