    • Phyllis Weiss is a public relations consultant for "The 12 Lives of Sissy Carlyle," an indie feature film directed by Fran Burst-Terranella. Her work on film projects has included scriptwriting for corporate productions, Public Service Announcements and web videos as well as publicity for such documentaries as "The Chattahoochee River: Muddied Waters, Clear Solutions," produced and directed by Burst-Terranella.

      Weiss is president and founder of Weiss Communications, Inc., a certified, woman-owned business that provides personalized public relations services that build on more than three decades of experience in newspaper reporting and public relations in Fortune 500, not-for-profit and trade association settings. Her firm has created communications solutions for such clients as AT&T, AMD Alliance International, The Coca-Cola Company, Delta Air Lines, East Lake Foundation, East Lake Golf Club, PS Energy Group, United Water (a subsidiary of Suez Environnement), Georgia Tech's Institute for People and Technology, Sheltering Arms and Marist School, among others.

      She began her career as a journalist in the Washington, D.C. metro area, and has worked across all PR disciplines in management positions with AT&T, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and the Metro Atlanta Chamber. Her work has been recognized with a first-place award in speech-writing and an honorable mention in internal communications from the International Association of Business Communicators, Atlanta chapter; first-place reporting awards from the National School Boards Association and the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association; a National Media Award for Economic Understanding from Dartmouth College's Amos Tuck School of Business Administration; and seven PRO Awards honoring professional excellence in public relations at AT&T.
