Annamarie James loves film and stories and you'll find her at the cinema every Friday morning.
With 15 years' experience in the film & TV industry as an editor and a post-production practitioner. She has produced, directed, researched, scripted, filmed and edited many hours of broadcast television. Including 16 hours of inserts for the national broadcasters in South Africa, ten hours of corporate film and in excess of 21 hours of feature length factual film. In 2015 she was nominated for a SAFTA for Best Achievement in Editing for a Documentary Feature for the film, The Vula Connection.
She graduated with a B.Dram degree from Stellenbosch University and make a conscious effort to update her knowledge of editing software on a yearly basis so as to better build the documentaries she becomes involved in. She treats every film with care, detail and technical mastery but ultimately, she just follows her instincts.
