Jordi Penner (Riva del Garda, 1987) is an Italian film director, screenwriter and teacher. He studied at the universities of Bologna, Amsterdam and California, earning a Master's degree in Cinema, Television and Multimedia Production with a grade of 110 cum laude. His debut short film "Amore Cane" (2020) won a special mention at RIFF Festival in Rome and was selected at the Oscar Qualifying "In the Palace Film Festival" among others. His latest short film "Pietre Sommerse" (2023) won national awards and was selected at HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles. Since 2016, he has been teaching filmmaking at Trento's School of Arts. He has taught screenwriting and directing courses for various companies and institutions (Sentiero Film Lab in Florence, CDM Rovereto, TAG Trento, Busa Film Festival and others). He is working on his feature film debut "Crepi l'avarizia" (To Hell with It) and as a screenwriter on Viktor Ivanov's second feature film "Let's never die".
