Ivan Law(I)

Ivan Law is a pastor and a musician based in the United States. He is the former pastor of one of the oldest churches in Los Angeles - Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Law is best known for his book The Holly hood Cover Up, which explores his ideas on the murders and controversies circling the popular 90's artists such as Tupac, and Bigge. Apart from that, Law also runs a blog where he shares his journey of becoming God's pupil and how his contributions to the hip-hop music industry. He was formerly served as Pastor at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

He was intrigued by the choir and began dabbling in the music industry, writing and creating songs during his time there. Unfortunately, some of his creations were stolen in 2000, including his song Purple and Gold, and he received the infamous hip-hop blackball before leaving the church.

In 1986, Law worked as a mechanic and saved up to buy music instruments including the industry's most prized bass guitars. He then started creating west coast sounds. During this when the US crack epidemic was at its peak, Law joined the ministry and became one of the greatest preachers to grace the pulpit of the Harmony MBC.

When Law landed a meeting with Macola Records, he became embroiled in a conflict that, according to him, resulted in the pirating of his demo - which led to the birth of the West Coast sound that is now ubiquitous in hip-hop and majorly credited to Dr. Dre.

It was during this time when Law saw his life slipping through the cracks that he found solace in the power of God. During this time he lived out of a dingy motel and worked as a telemarketer to make ends meet.

Popular works 2014: Robo Cop: The Demo That Drove Dr Dre to Murder. The blog was published online and has been viewed by over a million people. It has generated a slew of spin-offs, including Who Killed Eazy E and all of the 2pac and Biggie murder documentaries that were released after January 22, 2014.
