Daniel Sonabend is an award-winning composer, music producer and sound artist based in London.
His recent work includes scoring the 3-part series Cursed Gold (Disney, BBC Studios), the feature film Le Masque (Netflix Original), providing musical sound design for Ridley Scott's Napoleon, the Disney+ Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi and Marvel Studios' mini-series Loki, as well as writing additional music for Earthsounds (Apple TV+) and The Louis Theroux Interviews (BBC).
Daniel is known for his innovative approach to sound design, his attention to detail with orchestration and texture, and his emotive and forward-thinking scores. After studying at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and the University of Westminster under acclaimed composers and avant-garde artists, Daniel gravitated towards music for film, working on numerous productions and collaborations with composers such as Martin Phipps, Natalie Holt, Andrew Phillips and Nainita Desai.
Alongside his film and TV work, Daniel has composed music for award-winning art installations with works exhibited at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Royal Academy of Arts in London and the Louvre Abu-Dhabi to name a few. He also produces music and regularly collaborates with other music artists, including Eliza Shaddad with whom he created the experimental electronic-jazz Arab/Jewish music collective Sandscape.
