Blair (they/she) is a seasoned casting professional with 10 years experience in the film and television industry and multiple Artios Award nominations for their work as an Associate Casting Director. They have cast 100+ projects across 15 states. Founder of their own casting company, Namaste Casting, in 2022 their work focuses on inclusivity, accessibility, and authentic representation in casting spaces.
Blair's career is notable for her love of and work with southern-born and based actors, as well as her expertise with national talent searches. After studying film at Elon University, Blair was hired by Emmy award-winning CD, Tracy Kilpatrick/The Casting Office, for the James Brown biopic, Get On Up, in Natchez, MS in 2013. Blair then had the pleasure to learn from and work alongside Tracy for 8+ years.
Namaste Casting maintains working relationships across the southeast, as well as producer, CD, and agent/manager connections in CA and NY. Namaste Casting operates predominantly in well-known southern filming hubs Atlanta and New Orleans. Offices in Atlanta additionally support an art collective and resale shop, Namaste Tchotchkes.
Blair identifies as white, queer, and genderqueer. They joined the CSA in 2016 and are a member of the CSA Equity in Entertainment Committee, as well as the Regional Casting Committee. They strive to be an open BIPOC ally and to unlearn their ableism as relates to representation, compensation, and performer accessibility in casting spaces and on set.
