Evil recently wrapped up its run after four seasons, disappointing fans who felt there was still a lot of potential to keep going with the series. Though the show has ended, its fan base continues to grow as more viewers find the series on streaming, but the downside may be that these fans didn't discover the series quickly enough to save it.

Series creators Michelle King and Robert King spoke about Evil during an interview with Screen Rant at New York Comic Con. While Michelle is thrilled that appreciation for the series continues to grow, Robert admitted that it's a bit disappointing that this surge in popularity couldn't have happened just one year earlier. He went on to suggest that it's probably too late at this point for the increased popularity to get the series a renewal, but at the same time, Robert noted that a revival wouldn't be impossible.

After recently giving the show his overwhelming seal of approval, the literary icon demanded the streaming platform renew the supernatural procedural that recently ended after four seasons.

A couple months ago, the Paramount+ streaming service unveiled a teaser trailer for season 4 of the supernatural drama series Evil – and while doing so, they confirmed that they have also cancelled the show. The fourth season of Evil will also be its last, and to make sure the showrunners will be able to properly wrap up the story, Paramount+ ordered four bonus episodes that will be added to the new / final season. Paramount+ has confirmed the upcoming fourth season of Evil will be its last.

The only good news from the announcement is that four additional episodes have been ordered to help bring the series to a close.

Many shows don’t get endings, but Evil has been one of those shows that beat the odds.

The procedural premiered on CBS in September 2019 and scored a renewal quickly despite soft on-air viewership.

Because the show had such a robust digital footprint, it was moved to Paramount+ beginning with its second season, where it will remain through its fourth and final season.

Paramount+ today announced that the final season of fan-favorite and critically acclaimed original series Evil will premiere this May.

With every scoop of good news comes the bad, and this is about as bad as it gets.

Four bonus episodes have been added to Evil Season 4 by the streaming service and are set to begin production soon in New York City for a thrilling series finale.

Was I the only one who had no idea Evil was on the chopping block? If we know anything after enjoying three seasons of Evil so far, it's that the devil works in mysterious ways.

The series was renewed for a fourth season back in June 2022, though it was not reported at the time that it would be the final season.
