Stephen King is a horror genre staple, and he often recommends TV shows or movies that he enjoys. He's best known for iconic horror novels such as The Shining and It, and has remained in the public spotlight for his books and adaptations of his work. Stephen King even has another book on the way, continuing a legacy that has scared readers for decades.
Because of his reputation in the horror genre, many trust his recommendations for different works, whether they be novels, TV shows, or even films. The genres of his recommendations often vary, but horror still seems to be the most consistent. Though many of King's books could still use sequels, his recommended shows such as Cabinet of Curiosities and Midnight Mass will have to do in the meantime.

Evil recently wrapped up its run after four seasons, disappointing fans who felt there was still a lot of potential to keep going with the series. Though the show has ended, its fan base continues to grow as more viewers find the series on streaming, but the downside may be that these fans didn't discover the series quickly enough to save it.
Series creators Michelle King and Robert King spoke about Evil during an interview with Screen Rant at New York Comic Con. While Michelle is thrilled that appreciation for the series continues to grow, Robert admitted that it's a bit disappointing that this surge in popularity couldn't have happened just one year earlier. He went on to suggest that it's probably too late at this point for the increased popularity to get the series a renewal, but at the same time, Robert noted that a revival wouldn't be impossible.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead for Evil After four seasons, the supernatural crime drama Evil came to a close this past August with a series finale that left fans wanting more. Often praised for its creative uniqueness among television shows, Evil deftly combined an exploration of faith and possession with the inherent evil that exists in the choices of man. The series' cancelation was announced in February, with Paramount+ announcing that the creators would be given just four additional episodes to wrap up the series. While fans may be disappointed with the strings left untied, this uncertain representation of finality is a rough though worthwhile ending to the series that speaks to the lingering question of what creates evil.

“Dear Paramount+: More Evil, please,” King wrote Sunday on X, to which star Katja Herbers responded, “From the bottom of our Evil hearts, thank you!!!”
The online exchange comes after Herbers previously shared a video this week of King praising the show in a PBS News interview. “There’s a show called Evil on Paramount+ that I like,” he said in the clip. “It’s great. It’s funny and it’s witty and it’s very, very sharp.”

A priest, a psychologist, and a scientist... It may sound like the start of a joke, but it’s the unstoppable trio at the heart of Michelle and Robert King's Evil. Originally debuting on CBS in 2019 before transitioning to Paramount+ for subsequent seasons, the show has delivered one of the most gripping horror thrillers of recent years. When the decision was made to cancel the series, the creators crafted an additional four episodes, ensuring that fans received the finale they deserved—and what a finale it was!
Season 4 proved just as absorbing, intense, and twisted as its predecessors. The creators didn’t ease off the gas; instead, they treated viewers to one of the best seasons yet, delivering justice not just to the lead characters but to the supporting ensemble as well. Kristen's friends intervene to prevent her from killing Leland, showing how murder can weigh on the soul, even if deserved. Leland had some redemptive qualities, shown when he tries to protect Kristen out of a twisted sense of affection. If Evil returns, it could explore Leland's halfhearted attempts to do good, revealing a different side to his character.
Evil star Katja Herbers sheds light on why her character doesn't kill Leland in the show's last episode. In the closing stretch of the Paramount+ supernatural horror series created by Robert and Michelle King, Leland heads to a silent retreat with his rival Sister Andrea. However, Leland's fate in the Evil series finale could have been much more gruesome before Kristen's friends intervened.

Evil's series finale left some questions unanswered while introducing new mysteries like Gray. Leland Townsend received his well-deserved comeuppance in a powerful ending. The episode struck a balance between closure and teasing continuation, sticking to the series' strengths.
Evil has just aired its final episode ever. Im still in denial about it. This series has been one of the best TV has had to offer in recent years. The writing has always been sharp and even witty, and creators Michelle and Robert King (who also directed the season 4 finale) have been able to balance religion, science, and the just plain weird and mysterious. Evils series finale followed in the same vein as other episodes; it answered some questions and left others open, and even introduced new ones like the elusive Gray.

I watch a lot of horror films, but movies and television shows about possessions are what really scare and intrigue me. Evil, a series by Michelle and Robert King, not only discusses the topic of possessions, but also explores the matters of grief and corruption. After three successful seasons, the creators return with season 4, which is just as solid and absorbing as the chapters before. The new installment continues to explore the sins of humanity while giving the characters new paths to venture to.
Season 3 [Spoiler Warning] ended with a shocking revelation: Leeland (Michael Emerson) is having Kristen's biological baby with a surrogate, who’s supposed to be a new Antichrist. As the new season commences, Kristen (Katja Herbers) tries to process the news, David (Mike Colter) continues to secretly work for the Vatican, and Ben (Aasif Mandvi) unexpectedly encounters apparitions that he seeks to approach scientifically. The arrival of Evil Season 4 is nigh, and while it will be great to see where last seasons crazy - Spoiler - baby shower cliffhanger goes, its disappointing knowing that one of televisions best and unique series is coming to an end. Evil has introduced some fascinating characters that have quickly become favorites, like our three main protagonists, Kristen (Katja Herbers), David (Mike Colter), Ben (Aasif Mandvi); the delightful Sister Andrea (Andrea Martin), and Michael Emersons brilliantly evil Leland. But for my money, the best characters to come out of the show are none other than Lynn (Brooklyn Shuck), Lila (Skylar Gray), Lexis (Maddy Crocco), and Laura (Dalya Knapp), collectively known as the Bouchard sisters. Four wonderful, funny, smart and real girls who own the scenes theyre in.

We may not be ready to say goodbye to Dr. Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers) and her friends, but we don’t have a choice.
Paramount+ has confirmed the upcoming fourth season of Evil will be its last.
The only good news from the announcement is that four additional episodes have been ordered to help bring the series to a close.
Many shows don’t get endings, but Evil has been one of those shows that beat the odds.
The procedural premiered on CBS in September 2019 and scored a renewal quickly despite soft on-air viewership.
Because the show had such a robust digital footprint, it was moved to Paramount+ beginning with its second season, where it will remain through its fourth and final season.
It sounds like Paramount+ canceled Evil

The one-minute teaser for the fourth and confirmed final season of Paramount+’s Evil may be short on clips but still manages to capture the series’ tone. At one point, Ben asks, “Doesn’t it seem like these assignments are getting weirder?” and Kristen replies, “I can’t even tell anymore.”
Paramount+’s teaser trailer’s release was accompanied by the news that the final season will premiere in May. The streamer also announced they’ve ordered four bonus episodes that will wrap up the series. The bonus episodes will begin production soon in New York.
“We want to thank Paramount+ for giving us four bonus episodes to end Evil in the world in style,” said series creators and co-showrunners Robert and Michelle King. “We will miss this show and cast. In many ways it was a dream project, but sadly evil will outlast Evil. See you in May.”

Paramount+ is putting an end to Evil.
But not before giving the psychological mystery drama a proper ending.
The streamer has ordered four additional episodes for the show’s upcoming fourth and final season, so creators Robert and Michelle King can give the drama a sense of conclusion. The show will return for its final run in May.
“We want to thank Paramount+ for giving us four bonus episodes to end Evil in the world in style,” said the Kings, who also serve as showrunners. “We will miss this show and cast. In many ways it was a dream project, but sadly evil will outlast Evil. See you in May.”
Paramount+ has also released a teaser trailer:
“It’s hard to underscore the ability of Robert and Michelle King to cleverly craft thought-provoking stories that push creative boundaries time and time again, and Evil is no exception,” said David Stapf,...
