Emily is a British composer, born and raised in London.
She is a graduate of the Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television (SMPTV) program at the University of Southern California where she studied with Bruce Broughton, Jack Smalley and Christopher Young. In 2015 she became the first composer to be awarded a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) LA scholarship.
Her credits include additional music and orchestration on feature films The Black Prince (2016), 93 Days (2016) and Albion: The Enchanted Stallion (2016), and numerous short films including Lost Girls (2016) and the award-winning Najmia (2015) for which she was nominated in the 'Best Composer' category at the Underwire Festival.
Her score to the short film Cowboys in a Saloon won 'Best Picture' at the Los Angeles Live Score Film Festival where it was performed by the Helix Collective.
She has held positions at Hans Zimmer's studio (Remote Control Productions) and Bear McCreary's studio (Sparks & Shadows) and has had the privilege of recording and conducting her own work at Warner Brothers and Capitol Records. She has also assisted Emmy and Grammy-winning composer Laura Karpman, working on the TV show Underground. Her most recent work has been achieved as assistant to Brian Tyler.
