Réka Pálfalvi was born in Budapest, Hungary, to Katalin Fritz, CFO, and Sándor Pálfalvi, a service technician. In her family there are nobody related to film making.
Réka's hobby is to edit videos since she was a teenager.
After graduation she seriously interested in film making. First she edited examination films Obscura (2011), Végállomás (2011), then That Day (2011) and Felfedezés (2011).
After these Réka edited diploma films, like Away (2014). In university she edited short films: Mag (2012), Buda (2012), Tetemre hívás (2014).
After finished the Film and media studies BA in Budapest Metropolitan University of Applied Sciences, Réka edited TV Movies, like Farkasasszony (2015), Documentary TV Mini-Series, advertisements, and other videos.
From her early twenties she works as a freelancer film editor.
From 2019 and on, she works in her own editor studio in downtown of Budapest. This modern studio hosted the editing of the 2nd season of the documentary series Tabukról - Tabuk nélkül (2017), the 3rd season of the reality The Real Housewives of Hungary (2017), Megszállottak (2018) TV movie and numerous advertisements as well as shorts for web.
In 2021, she finally won her first award in the "Best Editing" category for the Magyar Golgota (2021) in the Only The Best Film Awards - June/July bimonthly award.
