Karla Marie Sweet is a British-American actor, screenwriter and novelist born in Manchester, UK. At a young age, she moved to Georgia, USA with her family. Sweet began acting at an early age and attended the prestigious Magnet school Davidson Fine Arts where she also studied dance.
After re-locating to London and graduating from Goldsmiths College with a degree in Media and Sociology, she worked extensively with the BBC in both television and radio. A former BBC production trainee, her radio career spanned several years and several radio stations, most notably Radio 1 and 1Xtra.
After leaving the BBC, Sweet graduated from the one year Acting course at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has since worked primarily as a theatre actor and a screenwriter. She resides in Manchester, England.
