Jamal Sohail is a double gold medalist and a graduate in media studies. He is an Entrepreneur and Educationist. He is a member of NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian and Asia Pacific Cinema) and Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI). He has attended numerous national and international film festivals as jury member. In 2018 he co-authored Journey Through Lens: Pakistani Cinema, a highly illustrated book on Pakistani films and history, a first of its kind.
