Singer, Songwriter, Actor Jann Klose was born in Mannheim, Germany, and grew up in Kenya and South Africa. He spent his teen years in Hamburg, Germany and Cleveland, Ohio as an exchange student with the American Field Service. It was during this time that he began singing and playing piano and guitar. After completing his civil service in his native Germany, Jann returned to Cleveland and studied voice with EMMY-winner David Gooding. He performed with various choirs in the United States, even appearing in several productions with the Cleveland Opera Chorus.
A move to New York in 2000 found Jann working as an actor and singer in several musicals including a NJPAC production of THE WHO'S TOMMY, the touring Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE, and a European tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. It was also after moving to New York that Jann began recording and releasing his own music, starting with Black Box EP (2003), Reverie (2007), Sacrifice EP (2010), Mosaic (2013), Stereopticon with Gary Lucas (2016) and In Tandem (2018). In 2013, Jann appeared on the soundtrack to the film GREETINGS FROM TIM BUCKLEY (Universal) as the singing voice of Tim Buckley. His album Mosaic features a cover of the Tim Buckley/Larry Beckett composition "Song to the Siren."
In 2014 Jann appeared in the the Australian indie documentary feature A VENUE FOR THE END OF THE WORLD. Two of his songs "Clouds" and "The Beginning" are also featured in the movie. In 2015 Jann scored the music to the short film, THE BEAUTY OF DISASTER, directed by Nicole Gomez Fisher also featuring his songs "Beautiful Dream" and "Hold Me Down" and In 2016 Jann appeared in the German made for ZDF TV movie MEIN SOHN UND SEINE VÄTER as Kenneth Holland. His songs have also been heard on MTV Cribs and the Warner Bros feature film, DEAD BROKE starring Paul Sorvino, Justin Theroux.
In 2019 Jann can be heard on the soundtracks for ONE LITTLE FINGER which also includes music by Quincy Jones, Julian Lennon and Siedah Garrett as well as MARRIED YOUNG starring Vanessa Lengies, Nancy Travis, Gary Cole, David Flynn and Mario Cantone. The song to "Love You The Most" written and performed by Jann Klose and Alicia Madison also features a music video that includes scenes from the "Married Young" trailer.
