Anne-Kathrin Dern (born July 30, 1987) is a German film composer and CEO of e-Quality Music Productions LLC, residing in Los Angeles, California. She is mostly known for her scores to "The Jade Pendant" (2017), " Lilly's Bewitched Christmas" (2017), and "Help I Shrunk My Parents" (2018), as well as her collaborations with Klaus Badelt, most notably on "Leap!" (2016).

She studied film scoring at the private film music academy "musicube" (Germany) in 2007/2008, followed by a Bachelor's degree in "Composition for Film & Theater" at the acclaimed ArtEZ Conservatory (Netherlands) from 2008-2012. The Film Scoring Certificate Program at UCLA concluded her academic studies in 2013. She deepened her knowledge later on when she was selected for the annual ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis in 2016 and for an internship at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions in the same year.

From early 2013 until late 2014, Dern has been known to work as a full-time staff composer for Hollywood Scoring and Powerhouse Music Productions, specializing in music for TV, Video Games and Motion Picture Advertising. As part of their in-house teams she worked on Microsoft's 'HALO V: Guardians', Riot Games' 'League of Legends', FOX' 'Gracepoint', Disney's 'Tinkerbell - The Pirate Fairy', and more.

She later collaborated with Christopher Lennertz and Alan Menken on both seasons of ABC's 'Galavant' and went on to assist William Ross (Momentum), Steve Jablonsky (Arata Music), and Pinar Toprak (Moon Road). She also collaborated with Ryan Shore on his Disney show 'Penn Zero: Part-time Hero' and the Universal production 'Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls'. Since early 2016, Dern has frequently partnered up with Klaus Badelt to co-compose music for movies, video games, plays, and theme park rides. She also co-composed the music for the Pakistani feature film 'Saawan' together with Emir Isilay.

Additional to her collaborations with other composers, Dern frequently works with Belgian director / writer Julien Kerknawi (Stolepark, A Broken Man), producer Straw Weisman (The Jade Pendant, Captain Black), director / producer Enrico Natale (WTF, Broken), producer Robyn Klein (Leap!, Wish, Trouble), animation company Prana Studios (Wish, Lotte World), and the German production studio Blue Eyes Fiction (Lilly's Bewitched Christmas, Help I Shrunk My Parents), among others.

Her film "A Broken Man" (2015) was among the chosen short films to play at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Dern was one of the 10 female composers to present their work at the first installment of the Future Is Female concert series in May 2017. She conducted the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra led by Mark Robertson throughout the entire second half of the concert.
