It: Chapter Two Star Jessica Chastain Teases Her Fellow Loser James McAvoy

Just like X-Men: Dark Phoenix before it, Jessica Chastain has marked her decision to climb aboard It: Chapter Two with a cheeky social media post directed at James McAvoy.

First spotted by Dread Central, the actress, who officially clinched the role of Beverly Marsh late last week, took to Twitter to poke fun at McAvoy. He’s just entered negotiations to star as adult Bill Denbrough in the 2019 horror sequel, with Bill Hader said to be in the running for Richie Tozier.

No word on how Jessica Chastain feels about that potential casting coup, but the two-time Oscar nominee did share her thoughts on the possible addition of James McAvoy, with whom she previously shared the screen for The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. All three installments, in fact.

James McAvoy and Bill Hader in Talks To Join It: Chapter 2

With It: Chapter 2 preparing to start shooting in July, director Andy Muschietti needs to fill out his cast! We already know that Jessica Chastain will be taking on the role of Beverly Marsh in the film, but thanks to THR, we've learned that James McAvoy and Bill Hader are now in early talks to join the film!

McAvoy is in talks to take on the older version of Bill Denbrough, the leader of The Loser's Club, who was played by Jaeden Lieberher in the first film, and Hader would play jokester Richie Tozier, who was played by Finn Wolfhard. I've gotta say... I really do love these casting choices! It's not hard to imagine them in those roles at all. I'd be very happy if they ended up being officially cast.

The next film will be set 27 years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise The Clown when they were kids.

James McAvoy And Bill Hader In Talks To Join Jessica Chastain In It: Chapter Two

2017’s It broke box office records left, right and centre and underlined the financial viability of the recent horror resurgence. With that film’s unbelievable success under its belt, New Line looks as if they’re having no trouble attracting an impressive cast for It: Chapter Two.

The latest names that are reportedly close to signing on the dotted line are X-Men and Split star James McAvoy, who would play the adult Bill Denbrough, the nominal leader of the Losers Club, and Inside Out and Trainwreck star Bill Hader, who would play the adult Richie Tozier. They’d be joining Jessica Chastain, who’s already confirmed to be portraying Beverly Marsh, the sole female member of the Losers Club who ends up trapped in a fairly miserable marriage.

In addition to their all-star adult counterparts, the child actors of It are set to return as well for various flashback sequences.

It: Chapter 2 Will Start Shooting This Summer!

Warner Bros. and director Andy Muschietti are almost ready to start shooting It: Chapter 2! During a recent interview with IndieWire, producer Roy Lee confirmed that the highly anticipated sequel will start shooting this summer in July in Toronto. Lee went on to say:

"The script is still being finalized and the locations are currently being scouted in anticipation of shooting then."

Last week, the director posted an image and a note saying, "Wake up, losers. Derry is calling." I'm excited to see how the director ends up handling this second part of the story which mostly centers on the adult versions of The Losers Club.

The next film will be set 27 years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise The Clown when they were kids. As they've grown up, they've forgotten about what had happened. When bad things start to happen in Derry again and kids begin to go missing, Mike Hanlon,

Casting Update for Goosebumps Sequel

In addition to a wide range of monsters and a stellar young cast, one of the big reasons for the success of the 2015 Goosebumps film was its adult cast—including Jack Black, Amy Ryan, and Jillian Bell—that delivered some of the funniest moments of the entire movie. Following the casting of four talented child actors, the Goosebumps sequel is looking to replicate the formula that worked in the first movie by assembling a group of adult actors with comedic chops.

Variety reports that Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ken Jeong, and Chris Parnell have joined the cast of the Goosebumps sequel. The trio of comedic actors join a cast that already includes Madison Iseman (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Ben O’Brien (Manchester by the Sea), Caleel Harris (Castle Rock), and Jeremy Ray Taylor (2017's It).

Director Ari Sandel is currently set to direct the sequel to Rob Letterman's Goosebumps, which starred Jack Black as Stine.

Goosebumps 2 Casts It and Jumanji Stars in Lead Roles

As the development of Goosebumps: Horrorland presses forward, the studio has cast its four main young leads. Goosebumps Sequel Casting Includes Jeremy Ray Taylor from New It Movie

  • DailyDead
While it's still unknown if Jack Black will reprise his role as horror author R.L. Stine in Sony Pictures' Goosebumps sequel, the rest of the cast is beginning to come together, as four young actors are now set to star in the film.

Variety reports that Madison Iseman, Ben O’Brien, Caleel Harris, and Jeremy Ray Taylor have all been set to star in Goosebumps 2. Details on their specific characters have yet to be revealed, but it's safe to say that their young characters will encounter frighteningly fun creations from the pages of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps book series, which originally ran from 1992–1997 and still continues with new releases today.

Viewers recently saw Iseman play a high school student sucked into a video game in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, while horror fans are familiar with Jeremy Ray Taylor for his portrayal of a young Ben Hanscom in 1989's It.

‘It: Chapter Two’: Dream Casting the Stars Who Should Join Jessica Chastain in Horror Sequel
When “It: Chapter Two” arrives in theaters next September (yes, you’re going to have to go a whole other Halloween season without some fresh Stephen King-created blood), it will come complete with a brand-new cast of now-adult Losers. The film will jump ahead 27 years — as is the wont of dimension-hopping demonic villain It, who likes to reappear in good ol’ Derry, Maine on a 27-year cycle — casting the cute kiddos who made the first film so memorable as jaded adults hellbent on finally killing the hellbeast that made their tween years such a nightmare. (For fans of the talented kids who starred in last year’s horror hit, never fear, as director Andy Muschietti has already promised that the younger Losers will be back for some flashback scenes that help bridge the first film with the second.)

As has long been rumored, Jessica Chastain is the first cast member on deck,

It 2 Wants Jessica Chastain as Adult Beverly

It 2 Wants Jessica Chastain as Adult Beverly
The adult Losers Club cast for It 2 is finally starting to come together, with two-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain entering talks to star in the sequel. If a deal is finalized, she will portray the adult version of Beverly Marsh, who was portrayed by Sophia Lillis in last year's It, which became the highest-grossing horror movie of all time last fall. With the first member of the adult Loser's Club in place, it will be interesting to see how quickly the rest of the cast comes together as the filmmakers prepare for a summer shoot.

What's interesting about this casting is it was actually predicted a few months ago by Deviant Art user NetoRibeiro89, who put together a series of character posters featuring The Losers Club members as adults, with who the artist thought would be cast as these characters. Sophia Lillis also stated in an interview that she wanted

It Cruises Past $700 Million At The Box Office

If nothing else, It has certainly proven the point about the vastness of the spectrum of Stephen King adaptations. After all, the popularity of the author is by no means a guarantee of quality, as for every Misery or The Shining, there are several Dreamcatchers.

2017 has seen something of a Stephen King flurry across screens both big and small, though, with Gerald’s Game arriving on Netflix, and The Dark Tower and It both creeping into cinemas. While the former landed with a dull thud, It has planted its feet firmly in the realm of success – both critically and commercially.

Muschietti’s ambitious adaptation had been in development for some time before the director climbed aboard, but once he took the reins, he cast Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise – alongside child actors Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Wyatt Oleff.

It’s surely this combination of performers,
