Marijtje Rutgers

Marijtje Rutgers, born in the Netherlands, graduated from the "Frank Sanders' Academy for Musical Theater" in Amsterdam in 2011 and began her acting career with a small role in the American series Behind the Speedo. In 2014 she appeared in the series The Neighbors. That same year, she was nominated for Best Actress for the short film Resting Place, which received the Platinum Remi at the WorldFest Houston Film Festival.
In 2015, Rutgers starred in the English-language feature film Second Honeymoon, filmed in the Algarve, Portugal. She was then cast in Germany and starred in the ZDF series SOKO 5113 as well as in The Prosecutor (Der Staatsanwalt), where she plays the Belgian detective Nora Vink.
Rutgers played a guest role in the television series Dengler (2017) and in the same year she appeared alongside Hannah Hoekstra and Josef Hader in the arthouse film Arthur & Claire.
In 2022 she played Amelie Willems in the german series "In Wahrheit", directing by Miguel Alexandre. Der Amsterdam Krimi (2023) is now in post production, she played the role of Jesse.
