Venezuelan-born actor and director. Pablo Andrade is Founder and Artistic Director of Corezon Theater Company in New York and faculty member at HB Studio. He has worked in professional theater for about 15 years, with his first steps being in some of the most respected theater companies in Venezuela. Since his arrival in New York, in 2011, Andrade has been involved with theater companies such as: Repertorio Español, the Tectonic Theater Project, The Public Theater, Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, Teatro Círculo, Russian Arts Theater, IATI, HB Ensemble Theater, Teatro SEA, INTAR, and others.He is proudly part of the HB Studio and Hagen Institute alumni as well as the Cultural Visitor Program of the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. As a director, he was mentored by Jack Hofssis, Robert McQueen, Aleksey Burago, Austin Pendleton and Thomas Kail. Andrade is Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Association (SDC) and the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA).
Major awards include: ATI Award for Breakthrough Director (2018), HOLA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Directing (2017), Fuerza Award for Best Director (2017), Latin ACE Award for Best Actor Drama (2015), and HOLA Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor (2014).
