Steve Brown is CEO of Ignite Channel, a producer and distributor of films about arts, innovation and culture in our changing world. He produced the documentary feature Poached, which premiered in March 2015 at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas. He met the Poached team after his feature film debut at SXSW 2013 as director and producer of Spark: A Burning Man Story (2013). After a theatrical release in 2013, Spark has been widely viewed on Showtime, Netflix and video on-demand channels. More recently, he produced Twinsters (2015) which also premiered at SXSW 2015, Occupy The Farm (2014) which is playing in theaters winter and spring 2015, and Socotra: The Hidden Land (2014) which is playing in international festivals. Steve has been an innovator, founding CEO and board member of media and technology ventures in health and education. He is a partner in a discovery fund and media lab engaged in R&D and early stage funding of media and technology ventures. He graduated from Stanford in physics in 1991.
