Mattias Graham is a settler filmmaker from Regina, Saskatchewan (Treaty 4) based in Montreal, Quebec. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Specialization in Film Production, 2014) from Concordia University, and pursues work as a freelance editor in addition to personal film projects.
His previous short film Gas Can (2017) won the Saskatchewan Independent Film Award for Best Short Film in 2017; the Ruth Shaw - Best of Saskatchewan award at the Yorkton Film Festival 2017; and screened internationally in the US and Aotearoa (New Zealand). His latest short film Bleach (2021, Leitmotiv Productions) won: the WGC English-language script prize at Cours écrire ton court 2019; the Prix du public sénior at Longue vue sur le court (2021); Best Short Subject - Fiction at Yorkton Film Festival 2022; and was an official selection at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2022 (Tokyo).
