George A. Perantoni (U.S. Army, retired) is the son of Victor Perantoni who is the main protagonist in "The War of Lions" film script. His father is also the main character of George's true family story titled "Arrivederci Leopolis" from which "The War of Lions" had been adapted.
At the age of 12 months, George was taken to grow up in Australia where his family had migrated in 1950 due to the awful economic conditions in post-war Italy, and due to Victor's resolve to take his young family as far as possible from what he considered to be a "war-torn disastrous Europe." Therefore, George grew up as an Aussie kid the first ten years of his life.
Later, George's early teen years were on Lake Garda in north Italy (1960-1964), and then off to the U.S.A. where he completed schooling and earned a college degree at the University of Wisconsin. Like his father, George was a rolling stone, hanging his hat wherever he called home.
Today George Perantoni is 72 years old living in Orlando, Florida, where he is writing a sequel to "The War of Lions" film script about WWII.
