Carly Street, is an Award Winning English Screenwriter, Producer and Journalist.
Born in Cheshire, she completed her first feature screenplay at age 14. A short script she wrote at 12 won The Cheshire Youth Film Project in 2005, being produced over the summer as part of a youth work shop. Carly's original art work and character designs and make up ideas were ultimately used for the production also.
She worked as a script editor and reader for a number of years before revisiting her old screenplays. Also a talented artist, she won awards for her artwork and assisted numerous directors and writers with their set design and costume design.
In 2011, Carly's short script, Fragile Storm won the first Palm Street Films LLC script contest. The script garnered such interest that it secured legendary, iconic Hollywood actor Lance Henriksen and Mackenzie Mason in the lead roles. This powerful short has been an official selection at over 20 Festivals and has won 14 awards, including best screenplay.
In 2012, Pages Of Time, a science fiction romance feature was sold under option to a UK Production company. The same year Carly combined her passion for writing with her passion for motor sports and began covering The Touring Cars, Formula One, Genetta series, World Endurance Championship and many others. Her work has been published across various platforms and secured her a number of interviews with both existing and rising stars within the racing world as well as sharing the pit lane with formula one legends such as Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso, Bruno Senna and Jensen Button, among many others.
She is developing a science fiction television series with a US production company as well as a web series marrying science fiction, mystery and crime with UK actress,Terri Dwyer.
Since 2018 she has been a part of the collaborative partnership that is Resurrection Films working with like minded creatives to pit story above all else.
She was fortunate enough to live a life long dream of being on The X Files set for its revival , watching an episode be filmed next to it's creator and her biggest writing inspiration Chris Carter, as well as enjoying success as a playwright for hybrid theatre exploration.
In 2024, her work was among the 35,000 contemporary artists, writers, musicians and filmmakers, from 162 countries and 67 indigenous nations to be included in 5 time capsules launched to the moon. The Peregrine Collection - Launching to Sinus Viscotatis Jan 8, 2024 & Landing Feb 23, 2024 via United Launch Alliance Vulcan Centaur / DHL MoonBox / Astrobotic Peregrine Lander.
