Matthew Benjamin Canada is a Director of Photography based out of New York City.
Matthew began his career in 2008 after attending a music conservatory studying jazz theory and the obtaining a Bachelor of Science with a Concentration in Marketing. Essentially self-taught, Matthew started out shooting music videos that led to commercials and eventually narrative projects.
Recent projects include the feature film Acolyte and a show on HBO Max entitled Before They Kill Again.
Matthew continues to film cinematic commercials with clients such as Ford Motors, TIME, Ally Bank, Goldman Sachs, BMW, the NFL, and boutique fashion brands.
Matthew is collaborating with top directors to shoot his next feature film while his short films have taken him to iconic Los Angeles, the desert of Texas, and his own beloved backyard of New York City.
