Travis Lohmann (b. 1988) in Las Vegas, NV is a composer for film/media.
Beginning his musical studies with classical piano at age 4, he
participated and placed in numerous local piano competitions in his
early teens. In addition to piano, Travis played violin in his middle
and high school orchestras , as well as the Las Vegas Youth Symphony
and Las Vegas Honor Orchestra. He attained his BA in Jazz Performance
from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2010 and his MM in Jazz
Composition in 2012, where his primary teachers included: David Loeb,
Nathan Tanouye, Tom Warrington, and Joe Marghilano. Travis began
composing for short films in 2008 with the UNLV 48 Hour Film Festival.
Since then, his music has been heard at: UNLV Spring Flicks, Cinevegas,
and the Las Vegas International Film Festival. In summer of 2012,
Travis composed the music for his first feature: Secrets of the Desert
Nymph, which held its premiere in Minden, NV. He anticipates the future
to have further opportunities to compose a wider variety of music and
work with amazing professionals in the field.
