Barbara H. Schmitt was born in 1988 in Blumenau, Brazil. She is a screenwriter, producer and children books writer. She graduated in screenplay for films and TV series at Umea University, Sweden. She began to work with film productions in her teens and by the age of 15, she won the award for Best Screenplay with the short movie «Ideologia Dominante» at the 2004 FIKA Film Festival in Blumenau, Brazil. She has been working in several film productions in Brazil and Scandinavia.
