Jorge Viñals is a music composer, producer and sound engineer. And, curiously, a Telecommunication Engineer.
He started studying music by the age of 9, and composing no longer after that. He stepped into sound naturally a few years later, studying sound engineering. After working in a studio, he started the Telecommunication engineering, specializing in Electronic Systems, to know what was under the hood of a Neve or a Moog. While studying, he started composing, producing and mixing music for other people almost by chance, when a little environment of his started generating a little demand of his skills, that increased overtime. He's done works for advertising including clients like Coca-Cola or IBM and agencies like McCann Ericsson, JWT or Ogilvy, and soundtracks for films produced by Pedro Almodóvar among others. Some of his film works are even knocking at the door of the Goya and Oscar awards, besides winning a great deal of festivals around the world.
Jorge is highly versatile, but the thing that always remains in his work is that there is always a soul to his music and sound, be it an arrangement for strings, an electronic experimental drone, or even a rumba.
