Moises Anaya (1987) was born in Tulancingo, a small city southeast of CDMX. He has worked as a director, editor, and cinematographer for various productions of VICE Latam, NGO, Through the eyes of children, Save the Children, Sambhali Trust, Dear World, among others.
In 2014 he was part of the art project Labor in a Single Shot by Harun Farocki and Antje Ehmann. That same year his short film Ramos won the jury award of the Docs MX Challenge and in 2015 he took the directing course at the New York Film Academy.
His short films as a director have been part of festivals such as; Dublin Doc Fest, Docs Mx, Icaro Festival of Central America, Short Films Screening China International New Media (CSFF), Zanate Festival, Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, Hidalgo Film Festival, Mix Film Festival among others.
He recently collaborated with a production company in Nepal and was part of the Kaalo 101 artist residency in Kathmandu.
His current documentary project about Matador Lorenzo Garza Gaona was part of the Zanate residence and Plataforma MX in 2019.
