Gina Parris is a film and stage actress, producer, comedian and screenplay writer born in Trinidad and Tobago. She is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (aka Television Academy), inducted into Marquis Who's Who of America biographical registry, and member of Women in Film. Gina received training from the Margie Haber Studio (Margie Haber is a renowned acting coach in Los Angeles, known for coaching A listers like Halle Berry, Brad Pitt just to name a few). Gina received a Master of Fine Arts in Acting for film, graduated with honors and is listed as one of the notable alumni on the New York Film Academy website. Gina acted in films that showed in cinema (including Imax) in Trinidad and Tobago, and she acted for Trinidad and Tobago and US television, you can also see Gina acting on Amazon Prime, Investigation Discovery channel, Youtube
and Sling.
Gina created, acted in and wrote the television show, The Honest Honestest Truth, the award winning short film A Twist of Life, which screened at festivals and is on-demand on Irietimestv.com and is creator of Like A Dog With A Bone, a visual guide to surviving in the entertainment industry. She has her Bachelors in Behavioural Science and Masters of Arts in Counseling. Using her training in psychology, she managed to enrich her acting and her scripts. Gina received her initial acting training from well known Trinidad acting icons Penelope Spencer, Freddie Kissoon and Raymond Choo Kong. She also got further acting training from talented LA acting coaches and actors such as Rafael Noble, Angela Gibbs and Kirk Baltz. Gina started professional acting since 2007, doing comedy for 4 years and has appeared in many comedy shows portraying characters in the World Laugh Festival 2011, 2012 and 2013, also Yangatang comedy tent amongst others. She acted in a play named Caribbean Woman directed by Hollywood actor and Trinidad born Sullivan Walker, the musical Treasure Island, and as Gaga the Witch, a series regular in the TV series Starvey's Angels.
