Jonny Blair is an emerging Scottish/Irish filmmaker. His first short film 'The Groundsman' starred David O'Hara (The Departed) and screened at multiple festivals worldwide before winning the Best Film award at the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards. He developed and made this film while completing his BA in Filmmaking at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. After graduating from the RCS he went on to complete an MA in Directing Fiction at the National Film and Television School. His NFTS graduation film 'Come Out of the Woods' starred Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones) and Nico Mirallegro (Spy/Master) and was nominated for an RTS award in 2018. This year Jonny was selected on to the BBC Writersroom Scottish Voices scheme, where he developed his drama series 'Youth'. In 2024 he'll direct his debut feature film 'Walk With Me' for Silver Reel & HanWay Films; starring Emily Carey (House of the Dragon) , Claes Bang (The Square) and Suki Waterhouse (Daisy Jones and the Six).
