Ed Alva is a Filipino American filmmaker specializing in documentary post-production, where he has played a pivotal role in bringing significant non-fiction films to fruition. He has collaborated closely with award-winning filmmakers Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick on acclaimed projects such as Allen v. Farrow (2021), On the Record (2020), The Hunting Ground (2015), and The Invisible War (2012), which have collectively earned multiple Emmy wins and Oscar nominations.
Ed also serves as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Post-Production at Spike & Crown Studios, an Asian American artist collective dedicated to producing diverse and meaningful narratives.
