About the Actor: Eric Ross Gilliatt is a highly successful American leading dramatic actor, director and producer, and commercial talent. He has been directly involved with the dramatic and musical stage, as well as films and television series, as a leading actor, director, and producer, plus working as talent for television and radio commercial productions for over 30 years. He is a highly sought after acting talent who has worked with some of the best directors in the best venues in Southern California and Europe.
Dramatic and Musical Theater Acting: As a student of the arts, Eric studied drama and communicating arts in Southern California. He is a Meisner Technique actor who studied for three years under the private tutoring of San Diego Acting Coach, stage and television director/producer, Thomas Morton. He also was a student of William (Bill) Study, graduate dramatic arts teacher from the University of Chicago. His natural ability to completely immerse himself into character, adopt character speaking accents as needed, and his projection of enormous energy on stage won him many coveted roles as a leading male actor in even high level local Broadway musical productions. A starring actor from his very first stage role, his theatrical media reviews have always been top rated, and he has been a long-standing actor with very high media and patron respect and loyalty.
Films and Television Series: After taking a hiatus from acting and moving to Europe, in 2011 Eric was contacted by a London casting agent and asked to join the cast for the independent feature length sci-fi film; "Overturn - Awakening of the Warrior" as one of the main stars. Since completing "Overturn," he has performed in a supporting role in the major, multi-episode bi-lingual international feature WWII made-for-TV movie, "The Bomb," which starred the famous Russian actor, the late Andrea Panin. He has also had supporting roles and voice over work in several feature length docudrama TV movies, such as "The History of Criminalistics," as well as the film festival award winning short films; "Must Escape," "Fuel to the Fire", and in the second season of the multi - award winning French international digital STUDIO+ series, "Kill Skills."
Eric most recently had the male leading role in the critically acclaimed dramatic short film, "Anna," which premiered in Europe at Cannes Film Festival 72 and in North America at TIFF. It went on to win the Best Short Film at the British Independent Film Awards, as well as 38 Best Film Awards globally, was shortlisted for B.A.F.T.A. and Oscar qualified. It received high praise from industry experts and audiences who viewed it and stated it was true to life with superb acting while also winning awards for Best Direction and Cinematography.
