Arun Ketsirat

Arun Ketsirat is a Thai-Australian filmmaker, who investigates female identities in a cross-cultural context. Born and raised in a remote rural village in North-East Thailand, Arun arrived in Australia at 16 with limited English, she found her voice through visual media. Her social impact documentaries: The Boob Issue won the 2018 Asia Pacific Screen Award Brisbane Short Film Fund, and a place in 2019 DocEdge Kolkata, an intensive training and pitching initiative with key mentors from Asia's film industry; and Triple Effect won the 2020 Screen Queensland Completion Fund and will be released on ABC Compass in 2021. As a founding partner of Seeding Time Pictures, Arun has sharpened her skills on projects of broadcast quality in Asia, Europe, and throughout Australia. Her work appeared on ABC iView, EDx and prestige festivals including Children's Day International Film Festival, winning its 2018 CommUNITY Award for creating and enabling women's participation in the film industry.
