KollywoodOn Monday evening, a party number titled 'Cha Cha Charey', sung by Suriya and Karthi from the film was released.Digital NativeDigital NativeEven before they could share screen space together, popular actor brothers Suriya and Karthi have teamed up to sing for upcoming Tamil comedy Party. On Monday evening, a party number titled 'Cha Cha Charey', sung by Suriya and Karthi from the film was released. Apparently, it was filmmaker Venkat Prabhu’s idea to approach Suriya and Karthi for the song. Talking about bringing them on board for the song, Prabhu told Tnm: “All my films so far have had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This is the first time I’ve collaborated with my brother Premgi, who has composed music for Party. Since it’s a new collaboration, we wanted each track to be unique, and star power to elevate the album and garner attention. Hence, we approached Suriya and Karthi and they were cool enough to sing." Apparently, Suriya had reservations about singing. “It took some effort to convince Suriya. He even wanted to listen to the track first and then agreed to sing. Karthi, on the other hand, instantly gave his nod. He has already sung in my film Biriyani, and he had no qualms about singing again. Karthi just landed in the studio and we straightaway started recording. The song has come out very well.” Party, which boasts of an ensemble cast consisting of Jai, Shaam, Shiva, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Nivetha Pethuraj and Sanchita Shetty among others, is gearing up for release in August. Produced by T Siva of Amma Creations, the film has cinematography by Rajesh Yadav and editing by Kl Praveen. Venkat Prabhu will soon commence work on his next project with Simbu. Last week, Prabhu took to Twitter and wrote: “Yes, it’s official! My next is with my brother Str. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi and it’s a fresh script. Not a sequel. Artists, technicians, title and other details will follow!! Get ready to be rocked. Need all your love and blessing as always.” (Content provided by Digital Native)...
