Joey is a filmmaker from Easton, PA. He attended film school at Temple University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film & Media Arts (2013). He also has a filmmaking certification from the New York Film Academy (2006). Joey was one of the 3 founders of Platypus Underground, a production company that produced short martial arts movies. The company is no longer active.
As of 2024, Joey has produced more than 200 short films across a variety of genres including science fiction, fantasy, horror, weird western, action, adventure, and martial arts. Joey's specialty is in producing short, campy monster movies and cheesy black & white B-movie style short films. His most recent work can be found on his YouTube channel, Joey's Monster Movies.
