"Wolverine" Alternate Ending Shows Mask
A while back, digital modeler and sculptor Adam Ross published some photos of an unpainted, 3D printed mask that was created for a key scene in James Mangold's "The Wolverine" that got left on the cutting room floor.

The mask resembled that worn by the classic yellow and black costumed comics version of Wolverine. As Jackman doesn't actually wear the mask in the scene, no actual mask had to be created from fabric - Ross 3D printed it and added some texturing and color to make it look like a real mask.

Now, a new multi-touch eBook promo for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the film has revealed the scene in question - an extended and alternate version of the film's final plane scene. You can see it for yourself below...

Radical Unused Classic Wolverine Costume for Hugh Jackman
One of the things I've always wanted to see is a Wolverine movie in which the character actually sports his classic yellow and black costume. It almost happened! A suit was actually made for Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine, and it looks like it would have been badass!

The suit was created by Legacy Effects digital modeler and sculptor Adam Ross, who has worked on films such as Iron Man 3, Pacific Rim, RoboCop, and Oblivion.

Update:

The art was stolen from Ross's private portfolio, and a fake statement was attached. This is not the first time we've seen artists' portfolios get hacked. It's impossible to fully lock down a portfolio, and when it has to be shared to be able to get you more work, leaks by unscrupulous people are bound to happen. Ross is a solid artist, and we hope to see more of his work in an official capacity.

Photo: Wolverine's Unused Costume From The Wolverine Revealed
Adam Ross, a digital modeler and sculptor who worked on "Iron Man 3," "Oblivion" and "Pacific Rim," has unveiled a look at the costume Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) was initially set to wear in "The Wolverine." Since the suit didn't show up in the movie, Ross was given permission to publicly reveal it online. Check out the photo below to see the suit, which is very similar to Wolverine's familiar Alpha Flight suit from 1975. "This is the costume that I modeled for 'The Wolverine.' It was unused in the final cut of the film," he wrote. "Everything in the box is digitally modeled and 3d printed. There is no cloth or leather used in these parts." Photo: (click to enlarge)...
