A New York native, Beverly is an award-winning screenwriter and author. She began her screenwriting studies at The Gotham Writers' Workshop, after retirement from the corporate world. Writing in different genres, she completed several screenplays, many of which are official selections, winners and contest-placed. She converted two of her screenplays into award-winning novels and then wrote a non-fiction women's book.

Her second novel, Soaring in Silence, inspired by Unprotected Witness, a screenplay co-written with Jack Knight, earned: 2019 Five Star Readers' Favorite Seal.
Her third book, Women, Work and Triumph, a compilation of interviews with 26 fascinating diverse women from 5 countries in 26 careers from A - Z with 1 goal; Acceptance and Respect received: 2020 Five Star Readers' Favorite Seal 2021 Speak Up Radio Firebird Book Award.
