After the death of his friend and band mate Kenny MacLean in 2008 he remained apprehensive about returning to Platinum Blonde. He saw Rob Laidlaw and Dan Todd's enthusiasm and returned to the band.

Lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the popular Canadian rock band Platinum Blonde from 1983-1990.

After Platinum Blonde disbanded in 1991 Sergio decided that he wanted to go back to his studies at the University of Toronto in the Architecture School. Sadly his applications were rejected by the University of Toronto and every other university that he applied to due largely in part because his status as the guitar player in Platinum Blonde would cause him to be a distraction. Undeterred by this rejection Sergio started his own firm Sergio Galli Designs INC without any formal education and he started building houses in Mississauga.

He is the founder of Sergio Galli Design-Build firm. He builds and designs Mansion style houses in Brooklin, Ontario. His office is in Vaughan, Ontario.
