This French-Polish actress has moved to Los Angeles a few month ago, with her work visa called Extraordinary Talent 01, which she obtained thanks to her great European cinematographic background.
Mastering acting in English, French, Polish, Russian and also in Hebrew the international market is open to her.
Since her arrival in Hollywood , she has appeared in the TV series Buried in the Backyard in the role of Forensic for Oxygen Channel, USA. She has also been cast as Brittany in a pilot of Second Instinct, a TV series with Kaveh Ghahremany & Ethan Rains, and also in the American feature film For Jennifer, as Helene. A multi-talented artist, she was the only French woman in Californie with a sensual and intriguing accent cast as the narrator in the American documentary about Pierre Cardin and we can also see her dancing in Jennifer Lopez's video next to Abraham Mateo and Yandel.
Before leaving France for the United States, she co-starred in Caroline Chu's film Krank. The film has won numerous awards around the world. She also appeared in the French-Polish Caro-production Romantik, which also earned international awards. In the same year, she faced a new challenge, as she produced and directed a short comedy American Visa Dream, which tells the adventures of the young actress in her quest for a visa to work in Hollywood. Most notably, she starred in the long running highly successful Polish series « Barwy Szczescia » where her character returns to her country of Poland after a successful life and career modeling in France. Her delicate portrayal of multifaceted, intensely dark Iza Maslowska earned her notoriety among the Polish television viewing audience.
The following year, Monika starred as the main character in «Polish Hope», shot by director Loic Pottier, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. This film won a Best International Short at Cinefest in Los Angeles and shared the Grand Jury prize at Oiff.
She spent her adolescence in Poland, but decided to pursue her studies at the famed Paris Sorbonne University, where she received a degree in Economy and International Relations. After graduation, she began to work in Canal+ Paris, where she discovered her profound passion for cinema. Once committed to the art of acting, she studied her craft at the School of Theatre and Film and International Acting and The Cours Florent.
That is when her beautiful adventure in the world of cinema began ... Since then Acting has become for Monika Ekiert not only her passion, but also a way of life.
