Sergio Jiménez Lacima is a prolific composer and conductor for films, TV, Video Games and Concert Music. Born in Spain, he began his music studies very early, at the age of 3. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Film Scoring and Video Game Scoring at the Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), where he studied with a full scholarship granted by SGAE and Berklee. He has a Masters Degree in Orchestral Conducting and two Bachelor Degrees in Piano Performance and Orchestral Conducting, all earned in Spain. He is also a graduate from the ASCAP Television & Film Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis, held annually in Los Angeles. He has received several awards and honors as: Alex North Award at the Fimucite Festival, Candidate for Best Original Score at the 2018, 2016 and 2014 Goya Awards (Spanish Academy Awards), Best Comedy Composer at the LA Web Fest, Nominee and Finalist at the II Aragon Cinema "Simon Awards", Nominee and Finalist for the XIII and VI Jerry Goldsmith Awards, the ASCAP Foundation Steve Kaplan TV & Film Studies Scholarship, the Recording Musicians Association of Los Angeles Grant (RMALA), and the "Michael Kamen Award", among others. He has worked with several orchestras in the USA, Europe and Latin America, either as a composer, orchestrator and/or conductor, including the following: the Hollywood Studio Symphony, the London Philarmonia Orchestra, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, the Venezuela National Philarmonic Orchestra, the Goya Symphony Orchestra and the Zaragoza Wind Orchestra, among others. In 2010, he was selected as Assistant Conductor of the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra. Some of his featured credits include: additional music for ABC and Marvel's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. (Season 4), Outlander (Season 4), video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, The Hunter's Prayer, Pet, and orchestral arrangements for Latin rock star Enrique Bunbury's "Palosanto" album. Having lived in the USA (Boston and Los Angeles) from 2009 to 2015, Sergio currently lives in Madrid (Spain).
